Bridgestone video demonstrates shearography12 December 2023

Bridgestone Commercial has uploaded a video explaining the third step in Bandag’s tyre retreading process: shearography.

Shearography is used to identify separations in the belt packages in the casing. Shearography uses laser technology to optically dissect the casing as cameras capture images and vacuum pressures are applied to the casing.

This video is part of an overview of the Bandag retreading process from initial inspection through curing and final inspection.
