All the new trucks has been fitted with 30ft bodies designed and built by Bevan Group to handle heavy carpets, rugs and floor coverings. Each includes carpet cages and tugs within the body.
The trucks have recently gone into service as part of the Kidderminster-based company's 42-strong CV fleet and will cover in excess of 160,000km per annum, delivering to national retail customers.
"We have used Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental before, mainly on short-term contracts, but this is the first long-term deal we have placed with the new combined business," comments Kevin Waters, transport manager at Alliance Flooring Distribution.
"In our previous experience, their customer service has been excellent. With one phone call the job is done," he continues.
"They will also service the vehicles at a time that suits us, minimising any potential downtime in the working week, which is essential in our intensive distribution operations."
