ATS Euromaster strengthens ties with the wheel market23 July 2012

ATS Euromaster has signed a two-year deal with independent wheel distributor Motor Wheel Service (MWS) aimed at more than doubling its share of the UK CV wheel market by the end of 2013.

ATS Euromaster says it will now offer a one-stop service to commercial vehicle fleets, meeting both their tyre and wheel inspection, repair and replacement requirements.

The firm, which supplied around 7,000 wheels to truck, bus and coach fleets in 2011, intends to increase its wheel stock, with MWS also providing technical support and training.

"There are almost four million commercial vehicle wheels on the country's roads, and over 200,000 of those need replacing due to wear or damage in a given year," comments Peter Fairlie, group sales director for ATS Euromaster.

"Fleets already trust us with their tyre needs, so it makes sense for us to move further into the wheel market, and for our customers to save time and money by consolidating their wheel and tyre supply needs with us."

Most of the wheels ATS Euromaster replaced last year were as a result of the company's mobile technicians finding that a wheel needed attention during roadside tyre replacement, or during a fleet inspection.
