Bidvest bids for efficiency boost with Microlise upgrade28 September 2016

Food and beverage transport operator Bidvest Logistics has upgraded its contract with Microlise to include driver access to the telematics products.

Bidvest’s 650-plus drivers will now have Android devices giving them direct access to the Microlise Fleet Performance, Journey Management and Proof of Delivery solutions.

Bidvest has been a Microlise user for eight years and its 380-strong fleet is fitted with hardware to capture and log vehicle data, as well as journey and delivery information.


“The Microlise solution is central to our operation. With this upgrade we are redoubling our efforts to provide the most engaging environment for our drivers,” says Cindy Howarth, director of IT at Bidvest Logistics.

“We expect to see many benefits for the business in our service, efficiency and reduced operational costs. By providing a more engaging workplace experience, we hope to attract the best drivers to the team while helping our existing drivers to carry out their roles easily and effectively.”

As well as Fleet Performance, Journey Management and Proof of Delivery products, Bidvest uses the Microlise CRM module and Temperature Monitoring and Door Sensor modules.

Bidvest’s Microlise solution is integrated with Paragon’s routing and scheduling software, as well as the Minster warehouse management system.
