The news follows last week’s (17 January 2017) announcement of the firm’s appointment by Isuzu Truck’s to its sales and service network.
Lawrence Todd, director of fleet services at Cartwright Fleet Services, says the site will offer sales and aftersales services for Isuzu Truck’s full range of commercial vehicles from 3.5 to 12 tonnes.
Cartwright Fleet Services’ Garsforth services will include inspections, MOTs, repair and maintenance, and new vehicle deliveries.
“Just as importantly we are able to support other Cartwright Group companies with complementary services,” states Todd.
“And we will, of course, be able to supply and support the complete range of popular trucks from Isuzu in a key market region.”
The new facility will also provide all-makes trailer and truck maintenance and servicing as well as an additional site for Cartwright Rentals.
Toff says the workshop, currently comprising seven bays, is to be extended with six additional bays this spring to support further growth.
The company is also investing £200,000 to introduce an on-site ATF (authorised testing facility).
The Leeds facility brings the total number of Cartwright Fleet Services sites to five, with existing locations in Aldridge, Altrincham, Bruntingthorpe and Wythenshawe.
Cartwright Fleet Services has expanded significantly since 2013: the workforce has grown from 12 to 170, including six apprentices, and the company’s fleet of mobile technician vans has increased to 40 vehicles.
