The Grantham-based business is using the 44-tonne Range K460 P8x4 Rs, supplied by dealer JDS Trucks, and says it chose the Range K for durability, load capacity, and the competitive pricing and support.
Xact is working with Renault to gain VCA and Whole Europe Type Approvals (WETA), which it expects to achieve in the next three months, according to Xact’s owner Ronald Jackson.
He adds: “The Range K is ideal for Xact equipment; it’s efficient, rugged and powerful, has an excellent chassis and is a great workhorse... It’s strong enough for our equipment and users’ concrete production needs.
“The Range K also has a better design weight that far exceeds others on the market and this, together with excellent service through JDS Trucks, clinched the deal.”
The first two mixers have been delivered to DK Concrete in Corby.
