CV Show sees innovative R&M package from MAN 25 April 2012

MAN Truck & Bus UK has launched a so-called 'Comfort Managed' programme at the CV Show, as part of its drive to support not only the growing MAN vehicle parc of five years and older, but also other truck makes and trailers.

MAN Comfort Managed is a essentially a packaged R&M deal that considers any vehicle or trailer, regardless of make or age, putting it onto either a 'pay as you go' or monthly budget plan.

With 'pay as you go', operators are billed through a consolidated invoice at the end of each month, with a detailed report also supplied.

As for monthly budgeted, the operator pays MAN a fixed monthly rate, with a financial reconciliation every six months. This is followed by a formal review meeting at which fee adjustments can be agreed or the existing fee left in place for the full year before any under-spend is reimbursed, or overspend invoiced, by MAN.

With either payment method, there's also a monthly management fee, though MAN says this is more than compensated for by the cost and management savings provided.

"With MAN Comfort Managed, the operator of any make of truck or trailer, of any age, can apply for a reliable service that is very similar in content and performance to that which new trucks and trailers enjoy," states Dennis Evans, head of aftersales business development at MAN Truck & Bus UK.
