DAF leads with Goodyear fuel-efficient tyres as standard 10 December 2013

DAF is the first truck manufacturer to offer Goodyear Kmax and Fuelmax tyres as standard on its vehicles.

The new tyres will be supplied on the truck maker's CF and LF vehicles, as well as its flagship XF tractor units as of this month (December 2013).

Kmax and Fuelmax tyres were launched in September. Kmax was developed for high-mileage performance, while retaining fuel efficiency and traction, Fuelmax is primarily for fuel efficiency, combined with good mileage.

The XF was DAF's first Euro 6 tractor unit and was equipped with Marathon+ tyres.

The DAF CF and LF Euro 6 tractors and rigids are offered in a range of versions and can now be specified with the Goodyear tyre best suited to each application.

The tyres will be supplied from Goodyear's Luxembourg facility, ready mounted for DAF's production line. The facility mounts 8,000 tyres per day for manufacturers across Europe.
