Diesel hybrid points the way for Norbert Dentressangle 21 January 2013

Norbert Dentressangle and Mitsubishi Electric Europe have jointly invested in clean vehicle technology, with the introduction of a diesel-electric hybrid to this dedicated distribution fleet.

The vehicle in question is a 12-tonne DAF LF Hybrid, and it is anticipated that it will deliver a 17% reduction in CO2 emissions over a standard vehicle.

Just as important, the truck also delivers an extra two pallet load capacity over the firm's 7.5-tonne vehicles, according to Mitsubishi divisional manager Michael Freeman.

And he adds that it offers better accessibility than the company's existing 18-tonners, so leading to improved operational flexibility.

"Norbert Dentressangle have proved themselves a valuable partner to Mitsubishi Electric, both through the distribution operation and through our shared commitment to the environment," states Freeman.

"In partnership with Norbert Dentressangle, the introduction of this new hybrid vehicle provides further evidence of this commitment," he adds.
