Falken Tyre Europe expands its CV range 21 December 2015

Falken Tyre Europe is releasing two new regional traffic tyres for commercial vehicles in January (2016) – RI 151 steering axle and BI 851 driving axle.

According to the Japanese company, both of its new tyre types, which will be available in 22 sizes (17.5, 19.5 and 22.5 inches), offer “exceptional” mileage performance with even wear.

The firm also says that design goals claims “top class” directional stability, stable braking on wet, dry or snow-covered roads, as well as high traction.

Tyre engineers used 4D Nano simulation technology in developing the rubber compounds and tyre construction.

Falken gives the example of using the system to examine how and where heat would be generated and how to minimise it – crucial to minimising rolling resistance and maximising fuel economy.

Practically all sizes are marked with the M+S Symbol, as well as with the snowflake symbol (3-Peak-Mountain-Snow Flake, 3PMSF).

Falken also advises that the carcass can be retreaded and retro-fitted.
