Fleet compliance initiative: Enterprise Flex-E-Rent 05 June 2015

Commercial vehicle rental firm Enterprise Flex-E-Rent has launched a fleet compliance initiative designed to help operators understand their legal, financial and duty of care obligations.

Developed with fleet risk management specialist ADT (Applied Driving Techniques), the initiative is fronted by a new guide, Why fleet compliance should be a top business priority.

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent – formerly Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental – says the publication provides instant access to a free online risk and compliance audit prepared with ADT's fleet compliance team.

"More than 30% of UK road deaths are associated with driving for business, which makes it a high-risk business activity," states Danny Glynn, managing director of Enterprise Flex-E-Rent.

"Individuals and employers can be prosecuted for any act of non-compliance or associated negligence, so it is essential that fleet compliance is made a top priority," he continues.

"Whether your organisation runs a commercial fleet, a handful of vehicles, or if you have employees who make work-related journeys in 'grey' fleet vehicles, you have the same high level responsibilities towards your drivers."

Included with the new fleet compliance guide is a free employers' compliance health check. Subsequent analysis presents operators with a compliance report, putting what they have learnt into perspective, detailing how their business fleet is performing, identifying areas of weakness and benchmarking against best practice.
