Fleet extension: IRTE engineer awards close 15 July05 July 2016

The deadline for entries to the IRTE Fleet Engineer of the Year awards has been extended to 15 July.

Run by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, the awards are free to enter and open to all engineers and technicians working in road transport.

There are separate award categories for HGV, and bus and coach. Each is aimed at rewarding fleet engineers who can demonstrate not only excellent engineering standards, but also success in implementing innovations that improve operational performance, compliance and safety.

Winners will be announced by senior traffic commissioner Beverley Bell at this year’s IRTE Conference dinner on Tuesday 27 September, at Eastwood Hall, Nottinghamshire.

All shortlisted fleet engineers will be invited to attend the dinner, which will be hosted by former England world cup winning rugby star Ben Kay.
