Interhaul’s MAN trucks includes EfficientLine tractors 13 May 2013

Interhaul Pallet Services has taken delivery of six MAN trucks – with vehicles from each of the Munich manufacturer's lightweight TGL, middleweight TGM and TGX tractor unit ranges.

The five replacements and one addition means that Interhaul now has a 100% MAN commercial vehicle fleet.

The new vehicles have been fitted with MAN EcoStyle, the driver performance monitoring tool, as part of the MAN fleet management package.

Additionally, Interhaul's three MAN EfficientLine TGX 26.480 6x2 tractor units, have air pressure management systems, road speed limiters set to 85km/h, and energy tyres.

Bodywork-wise, the 26-tonne TGM 6x2 rigid has a rear-cab-mounted crane with a Dhollandia slide-under tail lift, while the TGM 18-tonner and TGL 7.5-tonner both came with Lawrence David curtain-side bodies and Dhollandia tail lifts.

Interhaul began its replacement process with a mixed-marque fleet in mind, but switched to a MAN-only purchase policy.

"It became apparent the MAN vehicles were more reliable, driver friendly and boasted excellent local support," explains Julian Larking, transport and procurement manager.

"MAN and our bodybuilder partners have always been willing to work with us. We often require unusual specification and, with MAN's help, we come up with an exacting specification," he adds.
