Isuzu performance tips it for aggregates supplier17 May 2019

Aggregates supplier Mone Bros has taken delivery of its second Isuzu 7.5-tonne tipper, following positive performance from the first vehicle, which has been in operation for 18 months.

Supplied by dealer Cartwright Fleet Services (CFS), the Leeds-based operator’s new addition has been chosen for its “amazing” payload capability and compact footprint, as well as compliance with the forthcoming Leeds low emission zone.

Phil Mone from Mone Bros says: “With the imminent introduction of the low emission zone charge in Leeds from January 2020, the timing was just right for us to add this second Isuzu Euro VI 7.5-tonner to our Leeds operation.”

He adds: “We also opted for the manual gearbox version, together with the lighter 150hp [148bhp] power unit, as this gives us an amazing payload of almost four tonnes. In addition, we do a considerable amount of home deliveries, so the smaller, more compact footprint of the Isuzu is ideal for deliveries where we need to access household driveways.”

Service from dealer CFS has been “fantastic”, says Mone, who also praises the early fuel performance of the latest vehicle, which is expected to be in operation for three years covering 40,000 miles per year.
