Krone user cites flexibility as decider for trailer deal 07 September 2011

ET Morris & Sons has added 10 more Krone Euroliner coil carrier trailers to the 10 it purchased last October, bringing the fleet to 90 emi-trailers.

According to the haulage and storage company's director Jeremy Morris, the trailers provide the ultimate in loading flexibility, which allows a wide variety of loads to be handled, including coils, timber, steel plates and palletised goods.

"We also carry specialist cargo such as steel plate, which often exceeds 2.5m in width," says Morris.

"Consequently, we specified a number of trailers with Krone's vertical widening rear pillars, which enable the rear doors to open out to 3.5m wide for loading and then close again, using a manual hydraulic pump at the rear of the trailer," he explains.

Operating from Hull docks on what Morris describe as its "total quayside to destination" service – computerised stock control, customer liaison, handling, storage and freight – the coil liners come with a 10 year KTL, corrosion-resistant finish.
