Linen supplier cleans up with Euro 6 Iveco Eurocargo28 May 2014

Linen supplier London Linen has taken delivery of its first Euro 6 vehicle, a 7.5-tonne 4x2 Iveco Eurocargo.

One of the first Euro 6 Iveco Eurocargo vehicles to go into operation in the UK, London Linen's truck is supplied on a five-year full service contract hire by Fraikin.

Fraikin managed all aspects of the vehicle's supply, from initial chassis recommendations, to modifications and branding. The truck has a customised body that features rear and side shutters, which enable easier loading and ensure weight is distributed evenly across the axles.

Reliability of service is a key factor for London Linen, which has worked with Fraikin for 15 years. As Tom Geraghty, London Linen's transport manager, confirms: "Our deliveries are time critical, so we can't afford unplanned downtime. Thankfully Fraikin ensures that never happens – their service has always been second to none."

The new truck will be maintained at Fraikin's new Iver depot, close to Heathrow. The deal includes collection and delivery for servicing, road fund licensing, 24-hour breakdown support, MOTs and tyres, plus replacement vehicle cover in the event of unexpected downtime.
