Maritime Transport wins FTA Roadworthiness Award29 June 2017

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has presented Maritime Transport’s Bristol Depot with the FTA Roadworthiness Award for 2017 in recognition of its high standards of vehicle and trailer maintenance, and for controlling driver-related defects.

FTA's Roadworthiness Awards highlight its members' efforts in keeping their fleets safe, legal and efficient. They also recognise excellent standards of vehicle safety, condition and maintenance and are designed to encourage and reward high standards of compliance with vehicle condition legislation.

Maritime Transport is the largest container transport company in the UK, as well as a leading logistics provider, focusing on successfully providing its customers with safe, high quality and cost effective services. It was the work of the organisation’s Bristol depot in particular that was recognised for its high standards in controlling driver reportable safety-related defects, and which ultimately won it the FTA Award.

Maritime fleet director Stuart Wardlaw said: “We are incredibly proud of the high standards we maintain throughout our fleet, and as safety is a high priority throughout our work, this award can be attributed to everyone in our high-quality workforce and recognises the exceptional contribution they make to maintain our excellent safety record.”
