Masternaut releases telematics hub for improved connectivity14 July 2014

Telematics provider Masternaut has released the MT400 hub, designed to boost connectivity and data acquisition for its Connect platform.

The MT400 is built on patented technology and delivers, says Masternaut, "unprecedented" levels of connectivity, modular applications, and over-the-air device and application management.

Real-time, accurate odometer, fuel, diagnostics and other data can be extracted for reporting and applications such as driver behaviour, risk profiling, crash detection and remote diagnostics.

The MT400 can integrate directly with on-board vehicle equipment such as techographs, temperature control units, salt dispenser units, or weighing sensors.

It can also connect to smartphones, tablets and other devices for driver integration features such as navigation, messaging and workflow.

"The MT400 transforms in-vehicle solutions and is a step-change from current 'black-box' technology," says Alex Rothwell, Masternaut's chief technology officer, describing it as the culimination of "substantial" R&D investment.
