New Isoli truck-mounted boom makes UK debut14 February 2014

Italian manufacturer Isoli has launched a new truck-mounted boom, which UK distributor Access Platform Sales (APS) will be demonstrating around the UK at roadshows from 3 March 2014.

The Isoli PTJJ36.29 is a 36m telescopic boom mounted on an 18 tonne two-axle truck. Features include a two-stage telescopic dual jib – said to be unique to its class – and four position stabilisers with automatic working envelope control.

The boom design comprises three telescopic sections: a two-section telescopic jib; and a final jib with 155 degrees of articulation. The double jib enables 'below-ground' reach of 6m.

At full platform capacity of 400kg, it can achieve outreach of 24m, rising to 29m with 120kg safe working load.

All functions, including the stabilisers, can be operated via radio controls. Options include a platform-mounted winch.

APS will be taking the first production model of the boom on the road, starting in Huntingdon on 3 March, enabling potential users to try out the unit.
