New Scania OmniExpress heads to Fords 16 September 2013

Fords of Althorne has introduced a new Scania K360 EB 4x2 Omni Express coach into service.

The vehicle has the Scania 360bhp engine driving through a Scania eight-speed gearbox equipped with the fully automated Opticruise gear selection system.

The vehicle's extensive specification includes climate control, wood effect flooring, 53 leather reclining seats with three-point belts and a centre sunken fresh water flush toilet. The entertainment system comprises Bosch Professional CD radio PA, DVD and twin LCD monitors.

The Scania OmniExpress was chosen because of its build quality and versatility, according to partner Anthony Ford, who points to the fac that this is the seventh Scania on the Fords fleet.

"Following a factory visit to Sweden we chose Scania because of the comprehensive repair and maintenance package, proven reliability and excellent dealer network backup," he says.

"We have been running this vehicle for a month now and are very impressed."
