Safetytrim celebrates British wheel security success 22 April 2013

Safetytrimworldwide is celebrating the news that, following its signing of an exclusive distribution deal with JOST for Australian sales worth around £1 million per annum, the British built wheel security system is catching on around the world.

"We also have a similar deal lined up with a French distributor and huge interest from other parts of the world, including North America," says Safetytrim CEO Nick Dooner.

"A UK product with "patent pending" status across the globe this is a product made in Britain and we believe [it] is something to be proud of," he states. And Safetytrim UK managing director Ian Barbour adds:"We are delighted to provide Safetytrim for any country, If it helps save lives and reduce accidents."

Jost Australia is describing Safetytrim as a tool to help transport companies reach the next level of preventative wheel management.

"The Safetytrim is a tried and tested system of identifying and preventing wheel loss through de-torque," explains Ben Crowther, Jost Australia's product manager (wheel products).

"When fitted tightly to each corresponding nut, all of the Safetytrim's pods are turned to the stop/blank position. In the event of one or more of the wheel nuts coming loose in the pod, it will turn the indicator from blank to yellow."

And not only does Safetytrim indicate when wheel nuts are loose; it also restricts them from further movements. "It prevents further backing-off by locking the wheel nuts in place by one-sixth of a turn," says Crowther.
