S&J Webster Stertil Koni Skylift

Derby-based truck and agricultural specialists S&J Webster has installed a Stertil Koni 35 tonne capacity Skylift to support a range of workshop operations.

The company specified a 35 tonne capacity, surface-mounted heavy duty Skylift with twin 9m platforms, model SKY350-9, which is said to occupy a minimal floor area due to its compact design and narrow width.

According to Stertil, the Skylift simplifies a range of duties, including servicing, maintenance, repairs and the checking of wheel alignments. Versatility is assured by the lift’s nine metre long platforms which offer a low drive-on height of just 350mm and a lifting space of 1.75 metres. Also, with no base frame, no cross beams and only a lifting leg at each end of the platform, the vertical-lifting Skylift provides engineers with unobstructed access to raised vehicles from all sides.

The SKY350-9 incorporates an independent mechanical locking system which is always active. Each leg also has an individual measuring device, ensuring level synchronisation to within 15mm.

Stertil’s ebright Smart Control System allows the operation of the Skylift from a lockable control box situated alongside the lift. Precise raising and lowering of vehicles is controlled by the patented eBright system which features a touch-screen panel interface.
