Tom Moorhouse goes for golden DAF after 125 years 20 September 2013

Tom Moorhouse and Son is celebrating 125 years in the road haulage business by adding a red and gold DAF super space cab XF105 tractor to its Huddersfield-based fleet.

The new 460bhp 6x2 tractor unit has been supplied on contract hire from Ryder and will join 16 DAF tractors and 20 trailers already supplied by Ryder to the haulier.

"As one of Europe's oldest general haulage contractors, we thought it fitting to mark our 125th anniversary by designing and wrapping our newest fleet addition in a special red and gold livery," explains Tom Moorhouse financial director Josie Galloway.

Phil Ashton, Ryder's head of area sales north, adds: "We've had a long and fruitful relationship with Tom Moorhouse and it gives me great pleasure to see this latest fleet addition being used to mark such an important anniversary."
