West Coast Motors receives Irizar coaches07 August 2023

The coaches, developed with West Coach Motors, are said to be the first standard height (3.5m) tri-axle integrals supplied in the UK

West Coast Motors of Argyll has taken delivery of six tri-axle Irizar Integral i6S Efficient coaches for use on Scottish Citylink routes.

Featuring an efficient DAF MX11 300kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 408hp, coupled to ZF’s Ecolife Coachline 6-speed fully automatic gearbox, the vehicles are equipped with lane departure warning and advanced emergency braking systems.

The coaches, developed with West Coach Motors, are said to be the first standard height (3.5m) tri-axle integrals supplied in the UK. Each coach is Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations compliant and comes with a Masat KS7 Semi-automatic wheelchair lift in the luggage compartment and destination signage supplied by Hanover.

The Irizar Integral i6S Efficient is built with a digital mirror camera system as standard which is said to provide the benefits aerodynamic performance along with improving the driver’s direct and indirect field of vision.
