On the 1st April 2015 Humberside Police and Humberside Police Fire and Rescue Services transferred the provision of vehicle and operational equipment maintenance and fleet management services to their joint venture company Emergency Services Fleet Management (Humberside) Limited based at Melton, East Yorkshire, and this is an exciting opportunity to work within the new single service function.

The vehicle and equipment workshop collaboration is a great example of how the emergency services in the Humber area can work together to provide a state of the art facility at a much lower cost. Local blue light services are proving that together they can provide a great service to the public even in the face of severe financial pressure. This is a real example of true partnership working of which we are committed to its absolute success.

Maintenance Manager

Salary Band MP7: £31,752 to £34,344 pa

Being appropriately qualified and experienced, and reporting to the Deputy Joint Fleet Manager as a part of the company management team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering, operational equipment and vehicle commissioning workshops, and developing procedures to ensure that working standards are maintained, priorities are met and budgetary, productivity and performance targets are achieved, whilst achieving user satisfaction with regard to vehicle and vehicle equipment availability and suitability.

Appointment to the post will be made to Emergency Services Fleet Management (Humberside) Limited and is subject to Police vetting clearance at MV level.
