Allports Rental operates a growing fleet of more than 650 vans, trucks and trailers based in the Midlands and throughout the UK. We offer a full range of contract hire and rental services providing tailor made transport solutions to our expanding customer base.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced fleet engineer to manage our fleet maintenance and fleet operations team. This exciting new opportunity based at our Lichfield rental centre will include full operating responsibility for the fleet through our own workshops and established repair network throughout the UK.

With full responsibility for the maintenance operations team, maintenance planning, scheduling and compliance, supplier management, cost control, and service delivery to our customers, this is a senior management position within the business and as such, a great opportunity for career development.

Reporting to the managing director and working within the senior management team you will be responsible for developing people and systems to ensure excellent fleet utilisation and productivity, whilst ensuring our fleet is safe reliable and well maintained to our customers requirements.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential and a professional fleet management qualification from Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, CPC in National Road Haulage Operations or similar, will be of benefit in this senior management role.
