North Wales Police are looking to recruit a Forensic Police Vehicle Examiner to join their busy Forensic Collision Investigation Unit. The team supports the Force with an expert vehicle examination service with the aim of assisting in securing an environment where an individual can use roads with confidence, free from death, injury, damage, fear or conflict.
The successful candidate will provide expert examination and full technical reports on any type of vehicle for the North Wales Police, other police forces and any other agencies as directed and provide expert opinion and testimony to ensure the Force meets the criteria laid down in the ACPO Protocol (2013) – Forensic Collision Investigation and Reconstruction within the Police Service.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants will be required to hold a minimum full car driving licence.
The selection process will be by way of a written knowledge test and practical assessment followed by an interview.
The successful candidate will be required to have a medical assessment and an assessment drive prior to any offer of appointment.
Level 1 Welsh language skills are required for this post. This basic level ensures linguistic courtesy. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an oral test which will cover place names, Welsh first names, Welsh signs and basic introductions.
