The firm, part of French banking group BNP Paribas, supplies trucks, vans and trailers under contract hire, with maintenance undertaken via an independent network of workshops throughout the UK and Ireland.
The firm’s drive tyres have been fitted with Vacu-Lug’s own in-house brands – Duramold and Logistik – under the contract since 2012.
BNP Paribas says it likes Vacu-Lug’s fleet management system VMS, which provides summary and detailed tyre, financial and service information relating to its vehicle fleet.
“Simplistically put, the support that we get from Vacu-Lug on a day-to-day, week-by-week basis is very good,” comments Nick Blakeley, head of contract hire operations at BNP Paribas Rental Solutions. “Their pricing is also competitive.”
VMS allows BNP Paribas to analyse fleet data live (in summary or in detail), to see vehicle costings and inspection data, identifying any missed vehicles.
It also covers regular management reporting and also enables management to view costs by location.
