CheckedSafe offers text-to-speech function26 October 2023

CheckedSafe has added a text-to-speech feature to the Android version of its app in a move that is expected to simplify fleet operations.

Text-to-Speech is a type of assistive technology that reads text on your screen out loud.

In an online post, CheckedSafe said: “Whether you’re a busy fleet manager constantly on the move or a driver finding it hard to read vehicle checks on your phone, we believe this new Text-to-Speech feature could significantly simplify your operations. With the new ability to simply listen to the instructions and respond accordingly, many users prefer the feature for increased efficiency.”

Users can speak to the app to report a defect or issue using the microphone icon on the keyboard. The app can also talk back, asking questions that would otherwise need to be read.
