Fleet software provider Jaama is to focus on helping commercial vehicle (CV) fleets manage their compliance and costs more efficiently at the 2024 CV Show in Birmingham.

It will be showcasing the latest version of its Key2 fleet management software platform, which can manage all sizes of commercial vehicle fleets.

Jaama’s Key2 is said to manage more 1.6m vehicles for its fleet customers and its new Maintenance Exchange, Compliance Manager and MyTechnician App software has been developed with CV fleets in mind.

Maintenance Exchange streamlines the exchange of vehicle maintenance information, including compliance documentation, between service providers and operators and integrates with Jaama’s Key2 fleet, asset, and driver management solution.

The end-to-end system allows fleets to book maintenance, authorise work and manage invoicing and auditing of vehicle maintenance work. It also enables documentation, MOT certifications, vehicle inspection sheets, servicing, and routine maintenance documents shared between service and repair centres, vehicle owners/operators and the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Jaama’s Key2 is focused on compliance and is configurable to enable fleets to create their own regular and one-off vehicle related events to ensure they are never missed such as servicing, MOTs and vehicle inspections.

Functionality includes historical events being stored against the asset record to enable fleets to analyse whether historic events are being done; prematurely, on time or late. It then auto-creates the ‘due date’ for the next event such as a service, MOT, or inspection.

Meanwhile, a scaled down version of Key2 that is more affordable for smaller CV fleets is available. This also includes a vehicle and driver management app to enable drivers to conduct walk around checks, report defects, manage accidents and obtain essential information whilst out and about.

“The CV Show has been an important part of our growth strategy in CV fleets over the years and we look forward to 2024 continuing this trend. CV fleets are coming under more pressure than ever to reduce operating costs for their drivers and vehicles to remain compliant. Key2 can play a valuable part in the CV operators managing both of those challenges,” said Andrew Holgate, Jaama’s CEO.
