Coast Guard fits telematics to land fleet07 June 2022

Telematics supplier Teletrac Navman has secured a contract to supply the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) with fleet management technology for its fleet of vehicles across the UK.

With headquarters based in Southampton, the MCA is an executive agency of the Department for Transport (DfT). It provides a 24-hour maritime and coastal search and rescue emergency coordination and response service for the United Kingdom with bases across the country.

With a fleet size of 485 vehicles featuring SUVs, transit vans and hatchbacks, Teletrac Navman’s fleet management solution is said toallow the MCA to gain increased visibility and real-time actionable insight to streamline and safeguard operations.

The MCA has a comprehensive network of staff and some 3,000 volunteers carrying out life-saving work and other activities throughout the UK. To ensure the MCA can maximise the application of the technology, Teletrac Navman has held comprehensive training sessions to develop knowledge, skills and understanding.
