Bandvulc will work with managers at Dawsonrentals’ 30 branches around the UK, collecting tyres from the 11,000-strong truck and trailer fleet and retreading them as needed.
Peter Snowden (pictured), engineering director for Dawsonrentals, says the deal has formalised an existing long-term relationship between the two companies.
“We enjoy the quality Bandvulc provides: it has such good credentials, as well as the carbon reduction and other environmental benefits we accrue through the tie-up,” he says
“We know that a Bandvulc retread uses 68 litres of oil less than a replacement tyre, and that the Bandvulc Plus+ fleet management system will deal properly with all our scrap tyres.
“Our central maintenance team will remain in control of which tyres are removed from our vehicles, and Bandvulc will then collect and deal with them on our behalf… We are confident they can deliver for us.”
