Hankook tyre plant expands production line12 December 2023

Tyre manufacturer Hankook is to add a truck bus radial production line at its Rácalmás plant in Hungary as part of an investment of approximately €540 million.

The project is set to be completed by 2027. The Rácalmás plant is estimated to produce 2,380 units of truck bus radial products daily, with a total annual estimate of 800,000 units upon completion. The expansion is also expected to create around 450 new jobs.

The European plant, which has completed its third phase of construction, is equipped with manufacturing facilities that are said to be capable of producing 17 million passenger car and light truck tyres annually.
