Mercedes-Benz Citan leads Rossetts pack at Brighton Marathon 25 April 2013

All-new Mercedes-Benz Citan vans bearing the name of local dealer Rossetts Commercials played key roles in the recent Brighton Marathon.

Three bright orange examples of the smallest Mercedes commercial vehicle were very visible.

One was fitted with the race timing board and led the front runners over the 26-mile, 385-yard course, while another was on static display on the seafront, just before the finish line.

A third Citan and a larger Mercedes-Benz Vito van headed a cavalcade of scooters and motorcycles at the head of the race – which featured over 9,000 runners, including Transport Engineer's industry editor John Challen.

"Rossetts Commercials and Mercedes-Benz are a perfect fit for the Brighton Marathon," says race director Tim Hutchings, himself a former international athlete.

"We have tried since our inaugural race to establish a perception of high quality delivery in every aspect of the event and the reputation of Mercedes-Benz and Fuso vehicles for reliability is second to none."
