Microlise Transport Conference 2016 set to be ‘the best ever’03 December 2015

Registration is now open for the 2016 Microlise Transport Conference, taking place on 18 May at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

The free-to-attend conference attracted over 1,000 delegates in 2015 and, says Microlise, is expected to prove equally popular next year.

The conference will feature key industry figures, including transport operators, and will again be chaired by motoring industry figure Quentin Willson.

“We have our sights set high,” says Nadeem Raza, Microlise chief executive. “We’ve already lined up our first speakers for the event next May and the agenda is shaping up to be the best we have ever produced.”

Last year’s speakers were from industry bodies such as the Road Haulage Association, the Freight Transport Association, and the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency, along with representatives from transport operators such as Brit European, Bidvest and Alloga.

As well as the conference, delegates to the 2016 event will be able to access a series of workshop areas covering a range of transport topics, and an exhibition space a third bigger than last year.

Quentin Willson says: “One thing’s for sure, the UK haulage industry wants its important voice clearly heard. Without the daily frantic activity of the logistics industry the UK economy would shudder to a halt. Simply put, all those trucks and wagons deliver everything to everybody – and they do it in a profoundly impressive way.

“The Microlise Transport Conference provides a method for the industry to convene, discuss important topics and be heard.”
