Oil supplier makes slick move with Michelin tyre policy18 February 2015

Oil delivery firm Tincknell Fuels has adopted a full Michelin tyre policy and is fitting MultiWay 3D tyres across its 30-strong truck fleet to boost uptime and ensure deliveries can be made in all weathers.

The Wells, Somerset-based business says safety was a key factor in the decision, but it has gained additional benefits thanks to Michelin's on-site training and support, including advice on tyre inspections as part of the daily walk-around checks.

"Michelin's ability to provide top quality training has added real value," says Michael Brown, Tincknell's transport manager.

"With some suppliers, you buy their tyres and that's it – with Michelin, it opens up access to a wealth of technical and account management support."

The MultiWay 3D tyres feature the 3PMSF (3 Peaks Mountain Snow Flake) and M +S (Mud and Snow) sidewall markings, indicating high grip and traction in winter conditions.

The tyres are being fitted and serviced by ATS Euromaster, which is also ensuring all new tyres are managed in line with Michelin's multi-life policy.
