Philips launches multi-directional workshop light 22 March 2013

In a bid to improve workshop lighting quality, Philips has launched the Multidirectional Light System, comprising three modules, each of which can be directed where required.

Each of the LEDs runs off rechargeable batteries, so there are no wires, and each delivers from 700 to 1,200 lux, via a dimming function.

On the side of each unit is a heavy-duty clamping hook for attaching to non-magnetic aluminium parts, while the base contains a magnet to attach it to metallic parts for hands-free working.

Each head rotates through 300° and can be set at an opposable angle of 120°.
