Volvo FH with Danish styling sizzles for owner-operator 21 February 2014

Owner-operator Phil Barton of P&A Barton has taken delivery of his first new Volvo FH500, customised with special livery more typically seen on Danish show trucks.

Supplied by dealer Crossroads Truck and Bus, the truck is delivered with Volvo's gold contract, which includes its uptime guarantee.

Humberside-based Barton uses travels in the FH-500 during the week, hauling Ro-Ro trailers, fridges and containers from Immingham Dock for DSV.

Barton has always run Volvos, though this is his first new model. His specified livery includes painted wheels, 'Danish Arrows' on the cab roof side panels and detailing on the side-skirts.

The truck will also be fitted with specialist upholstery by a Danish firm in March.

The vehicle will be on display at an event in Belgium in April, the Assen Truck Show in the Netherlands in July, and at the Retro Show in Gaydon in September.
