Claes Jacobsson, currently senior vice president financial services for Scania and based at the company's headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden, has been appointed managing director of Scania (Great Britain) with effect from 1 September 2013.

Claudio Zanframundo is the new managing director of Iveco UK, after more than two years as general manager of Iveco Acentro Spa – the joint venture multi-brand Iveco, Irisbus and New Holland Construction dealership in Sardinia. He succeeds Luca Sra, who is relocating back to Iveco worldwide headquarters in Turin.

It's all change in the ATS Euromaster hierachy after Ian Stuart from the position of group managing director at the end of May 2013. He has be replaced by Peter Allen, who was previously commercial director of Michelin Canada.

Stewart Oades has handed over the presidency of the Freight Transport Association to Ian Veitch, managing director of Yusen Logistics UK. Oades steps down after completing a four-year term as FTA president.

Giles Fearnley, managing director of First UK Bus, is the new ambassador' for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport's (CILT) Bus and Coach Forum. He replaces Roger French, former managing director of Brighton and Hove Bus company.

Outgoing Isuzu Truck managing director Nikki King OBE has become the first recipient of the Spirit of everywoman Award. The honour was bestowed upon King at the recent FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.

Engineering, research and test consultancy MIRA has announced new roles for two of its executive team. Dr Geoff Davis, formerly business development director, has been promoted to chief commercial and technical officer, while Declan Allen has been named as chief operating officer.

Ralf Maurer is the new commercial director at European commercial vehicle and workshop equipment dealer Europart. He moves from Carglass, where he was operations director.

Bryan Jackson CBE has been appointed non-executive director of Unipart Group. He has been a director of Unipart Manufacturing since 2005, taking on the role of deputy chairman in 2007 after a career with Ford and Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK)

Transport management systems firm Eyefreight has appointed Geoffrey Finlay and Ken Fleming chairman and CEO respectively, with immediate effect. Both have high-profile commercial experience.

Isotrak has appointed Megan Turner as head of marketing. Turner joins the vehicle telematics company from Microlise.

Continental Automotive has added Liam Cummings to its salesforce for its Crypton product, plus the new VDO Autodiagnos brand. He will be based in the South East of England.

Giti Tire (UK) has appointed Craig Tominey as area sales manager (ASM) Scotland, as the company continues to add staff to increase commercial tyre sales of its GT Radial brand.

Following the retirement of Don Jonston at the end of April, Volvo Bus UK & Ireland has a new marketing manager in the form of Pam Matthews.
