Prohire appoints new managing director 20 March 2024

Prohire Jay Edwards Progreen

Prohire has promoted Jay Edwards to managing director, where he will shape the long-term strategy for both the commercial vehicle arm and the alternative fuels division ProGreen.

In addition, Edwards (pictured) will oversee Prohire’s finance, IT, operation and commercial functions.

With a career spanning 25 years, Edwards most recently served as chief operating officer.

Pat Skelly, CEO of Prohire, said: “Jay’s ability to balance short-term efficiency with long-term vision has been instrumental in Prohire’s sustained growth over the last five years. Jay has supported the business in developing the finance function alongside putting in place the operating platform, reporting and more importantly the significant funding required to support that growth.”

Prohire provides nationwide commercial vehicle rental and long-term vehicle contract hire, together with fleet maintenance, accident repair management, and fleet compliance to customers across the UK.

In 2021, Prohire launched ProGreen to support its customers in achieving their net zero ambitions by decarbonising fleets via the deployment of zero-emission vehicle technology.
