Scania has announced that Glasgow-based day shift supervisor Scott McLintock has been named 2024 Scottish Irtec Technician of the Year.
McLintock (pictured) was announced the winner at the Scottish Transport News Rewards awards ceremony.
Having joined Scania after 14 years working for a transport company, McLintock was keen to progress his career. It was here he developed his skills to mentor others and discovered a passion for not just fixing heavy machinery but also passing that knowledge on to others.
Paul Smith, dealer director for Scania Scotland, said: “The team is incredibly proud of Scott. He is a real team player. He will help and teach anybody how to do something.
“His ability to mentor and help technicians with a variety of experience improve and get better is priceless. He is undoubtedly a shining example of the talent we have throughout the Scania UK network.”
