First orders roll in for Euro 6 New Actros trucks 26 April 2012

The CV Show is hosting the UK launch of Mercedes-Benz new Actros tractor unit – and over the first two days of the event, the manufacturer had already claimed orders for Euro 6 engined versions.

According to Mercedes-Benz, KMS Mallinson Transport will become the first UK operator to run Euro 6 variants of new Actros, having placed an order for two vehicles, together with eight of the Euro 5 version.

"We are a forward-thinking company," explains Steven Mallinson, the company's managing director.

"Euro 6 is on its way, and this will be a good chance for us to get some experience of running them," he adds.

The additions to the 75-strong fleet are being supplied by Northside Truck & Van, and are all 2545 tractor units with BigSpace cabs.

In other new Mercedes-Benz vehicle news, M&M Greene Haulage and Arthur Spriggs & Son have both put down orders for Euro 5 compliant Actros trucks.
