Manchester Airport fights fires with Oshkosh Global Strikers16 October 2014

Manchester Airport's Fire Service has taken delivery of six Oshkosh Global Striker vehicles, supplied by UK distributor Terberg DTS, as part of a £4.2 million investment into the airport fire operation.

The vehicles are equipped with the latest technology, including forward-looking infrared cameras and high reach extendable turrets (known as 'snozzles'), as well as more environmentally-friendly foam.

Operator training was planned and carried out in advance so that the vehicles could go into service immediately on arrival.
