Ryder recruiting apprentice technicians20 February 2019

Commercial vehicle rental and contract hire business Ryder is recruiting for its 2019 apprentice technician programme.

Apprentices are based at one of Ryder’s locations and attend Stephenson College in Leicestershire on a bloc-release basis to work towards the IMI certificate in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

They work alongside Ryder’s qualified technicians in the preventative maintenance and repair of the 20,000-strong commercial vehicle fleet, working on multi-marque vehicles and using the latest diagnostic technologies.

The long-running scheme has seen several successes, including in the Semta Skills Awards, the Asian Apprenticeship Awards and the EuroSkills Finals, in which Kieran Leyland, pictured, competed last year (see link below).
