The Facelift Group tucks up with Iveco and 100-vehicle order10 June 2015

Access equipment manufacturer The Facelift Group has placed an order with Iveco for more than 100 New Daily vans and chassis cab models.

Supplied by dealer Haynes Trucks, of Kent, the vehicles were selected for their competitive payload advantages and strong ladder frame chassis, which provides maximum strength, flexibility and durability.

Each of the vehicles will be mounted with the Ascendant A12.5VM access platform – this keeps gvw below 3.5 tonnes, so it can be driven on a standard UK driving licence.

The order includes 77 New Daily 35S12 panel vans, as well s 36 New Daily 35S13 chassis cabs – which will be split between the company's hire fleet and onward sales to private operators.

The van-mounted platform has a working height of 12.5m, an outreach of 7.7m and a lift capacity of 230kg – said to be the best in class in Europe. The chassis cab model, also plated at 3.5 tonnes, has a working height of 18m and an outreach of 13m.

"The aftersales service support offered by Iveco was a big consideration in awarding this order," says Russell Woodward, Facelift's head of sales.

"The late opening hours of its service dealers means we can have vehicles maintained overnight and at weekends, ensuring they are on the road when our customers need them most."
