Core Responsibilities As a member of the Volvo Penta team based in Warwick, you will actively promotethe sales of Industrial products throughout the UK. The role will require interpretation of initial enquiries, through design to estimating stages, to final price calculations and formal quotations and participation in commissioning tests, giving qualified technical assistance on all aspects of installation procedure. You will be responsible for customer forecasts, after sales activities and allocation planning. You will also be required to undertake a full range of marketing activities and visit customers to create an active interest in the Volvo Penta product range of industrial engines and ancillary equipment. There will be a variety of marketing duties including carrying out market surveys to identify new market sectors and potential customers, assist customers in the marketing of their product and actively participate in market planning, covering sales promotional material, advertising campaigns and exhibitions. Required Competencies •First class communication and presentation skills •Excellent command of the English language •Fully conversant with Microsoft Office products •Excellent organisational skills •Must be a good team member and enjoy working on projects •Hold a full, clean driving licence Experience •Strong commercial/business acumen •Previous sales and marketing experience is essential, ideally within an Industrial/Engineering organisation. •Some experience of Industrial Account management would be preferred. •This role will require someone who will be able to deputise for the Industrial Sales Manager and assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Minimum Education Required •Degree level or equivalent •Professional sales/marketing /business qualification would be desirable Physical Requirements Will be required to assist and attend exhibitions, conferences and various promotional activities, therefore the ability to help to assemble stands will be essential. Will also be required to undertake tasks involved in commissioning tests. This may include some weekend work. Occasional UK and overseas travel will be required.
