A vacancy has arisen at Stagecoach South West for an Engineering Manager based at our Barnstaple Depot, reporting to the Engineering Director. You will be responsible for an engineering team of 12 staff and a fleet of 45 vehicles, some of which are parked at outstations.
Barnstaple Depot is a new depot, with additional facilities being added later this year, and provides an exciting challenge for the new incumbent.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a proven history in both technical and people management skills, preferably in the PCV/HGV industry. As well as possessing an appropriate engineering qualification, you will also have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
You will work to the highest standards of vehicle presentation, within strict Health and Safety guidelines. The ability to control costs within budget is also an essential requirement, as is the need to work closely with the Operations Manager.
