As Vehicle Engineering Manager you will play a key role in this by ensuring that all vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained in a safe, legal and fit for purpose condition, that vehicle availability is maximised and that engineering services are planned, delivered and managed both efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced automotive engineer with proven people and financial management skills and the ability to lead on all aspects of vehicle engineering including specification, build, role preparation, preventative maintenance and repair.
You are required to have undertaken an indentured apprenticeship or formal course of training in motor vehicle engineering and hold either a City & Guilds Graduateship in Engineering (GCGI), a Motor Vehicle Higher National Certificate (HNC), a City & Guilds Full Tech Certificate (FTC) or recognised equivalent.
In addition, candidates must be a Member of the Society of Operations Engineers (MSOE, MIRTE) or a Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI).
You must have experience of project management, managing staff and of current legislation relating to road transport operations. Experience of communicating at all levels and of financial management is also essential.
