WASTE & TRANSPORT MANAGER - £37,206 - £38,961

You will be responsible for managing and developing some of the Authorities most important and visible public services while ensuring that a range of critical frontline departments across the Council have the transport resources they need to do the jobs so many of our residents rely on. Waste Management within North Warwickshire is undergoing a number of significant changes, including a move to alternate weekly refuse collections in October coinciding with the start of a new kerbside recycling contract. We are looking for a manager with broad experience of refuse and recycling services. Ideally, you will already hold a CPC in National Road Haulage (or equivalent), if not we'll provide the support and training necessary to earn one within the first twelve months as, once qualified, you will be the Council's 'O' Licence holder, responsible for the provision, running and maintenance of our transport fleet. In addition you will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a keen eye for detail and be a problem solver and a strategic thinker, all rolled into one.
