We are now looking for a Workshop Planning Manager at Lea Interchange Depot. The Workshop Planning Manager plays a key role in the success of the engineering function with the prime management responsibility of ensuring on a day-to-day basis that sufficient fit vehicles are available to meet the operating requirements of the garage.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to maintain all quality standards including, maintenance of the Company’s ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 standards and the effective operation of the engineering management system database.A commitment to safe working practices is essential, given the importance to the company of achieving the highest health and safety standards.
You will need proven experience of supervising or managing an engineering function and be able to balance, on a daily basis, the many conflicting demands that the engineering function has to deal with.To ensure a sufficient number of fit buses are available you will need to motivate and encourage the engineering staff to work to their maximum potential.
Knowledge and Skills
The successful applicant will have a full driving licence and will ideally have membership of a professional body (SOE, IMechE, CIT) and a CPC qualification although this is not a pre requisite.The role would suit an enthusiastic team player who is able to deliver in a fast moving dynamic operational environment and who is able to support the delivery of excellent performance within the challenging environment of London’s busy streets.
